Recognition for Andy

Sanoh UK employee Andy Saunders has recently won the Employee of the Month accolade. This award is open to all personnel across the global Sanoh family and Andy was put forward by the management team for his work above and beyond the normal duties of a working day. The citation for Sanoh Head Office reads:

Sanoh UK has been undertaking an organisational restructuring as staff numbers have reduced as a result of the downturn in the Automotive industry. Staff numbers in the cleaning department have also reduced from 4 to 2 people, however the amount of work to be done remained the same. In order to avoid any deterioration in the level of cleaning and to ensure 5S objectives were met, Andy Saunders devised a plan to ensure he met these objectives across Sanoh's factories and offices. This plan implemented the following:

1. Held sessions with management to explain the given situation;
2. Created a plan of action for cleaning services giving the reduction in staff numbers;
3. Trained another employee on new objectives.

Andy was able to perform the same level of work with 50% reduction of staff and even improved the level of cleaning quality.
